Product Introduction
Mullite Castable is an unshaped refractory material made from selected mullite aggregates, high-alumina refractory powder, binders and performance-enhancing additives.
After adding the recommended amount of clean water and mixing evenly, the material can be poured into formwork and compacted by vibration to form a strong monolithic refractory lining.
Mullite Castable provides high mechanical strength, good volume stability and excellent thermal shock resistance. It also offers good resistance to erosion, gas scouring and mechanical abrasion during high-temperature operation.
The material can be used as a furnace working lining in direct contact with flame. Different grades are available with alumina contents ranging from 55% to 70% and maximum service temperatures ranging from 1450°C to 1600°C.
