Product Introduction

Corundum Brick is a high-alumina refractory brick with corundum as the main crystalline phase. It is manufactured from high-purity sintered corundum, fused corundum or selected alumina raw materials through forming and high-temperature firing.

The product generally contains at least 90% Al₂O₃, while high-purity grades can contain more than 99% Al₂O₃. Its dense structure provides high mechanical strength, high refractoriness under load and good stability in demanding high-temperature environments.

Corundum Brick is suitable for industrial furnace areas exposed to high temperatures, molten materials, chemical corrosion, abrasion and hot gas scouring. According to the selected grade and operating conditions, the working temperature can reach approximately 1800°C.

Different raw materials and additives can be used to manufacture sintered corundum brick, fused corundum brick and corundum composite bricks. Zirconia, chromium oxide, mullite and other materials may also be introduced to improve performance for specific furnace environments.

The reference product reports refractoriness under load above 1700°C and good resistance to acidic slag, basic slag, molten metal and glass corrosion.

The reference manufacturer specifically lists metallurgical furnace slide rails, walking heating furnace tapping troughs, waste-incinerator linings and petrochemical kiln linings as typical uses.

The correct grade should be selected according to operating temperature, furnace atmosphere, slag composition, mechanical load, abrasion intensity and thermal cycling conditions.
