Product Introduction

High Alumina Silicon Carbide Brick, also known as Alumina Silicon Carbide Brick, is a composite refractory brick manufactured from selected high-alumina bauxite, silicon carbide, mullite and suitable additives.

The raw materials are mixed, formed under pressure and sintered through a controlled high-temperature process. The high-alumina component provides refractoriness and mechanical strength, while silicon carbide improves wear resistance, thermal conductivity control and resistance to rapid temperature changes.

During service in a rotary kiln, the brick surface can gradually form a protective working layer. This layer helps reduce direct material erosion and limits the formation of rings and deposits under suitable kiln conditions.

Different grades are available for cement kiln transition zones, cooling zones, kiln mouths and other areas requiring a combination of mechanical strength, wear resistance and thermal shock stability.

Feature:

  • High mechanical strength.
  • Good abrasion resistance.
  • Good resistance to material scouring.
  • Good thermal shock resistance.
  • Stable performance during temperature changes.
  • Relatively low thermal conductivity.
  • Good high-temperature volume stability.
  • Good resistance to kiln material erosion.
  • Helps form a protective working layer.
  • Helps reduce ring and deposit formation.
  • Suitable for rotary kiln working linings.
  • Standard and customized shapes available.

Application:

High Alumina Silicon Carbide Brick is mainly used in rotary kilns and industrial furnaces requiring wear resistance, thermal shock stability and reliable high-temperature mechanical performance.

Typical applications include:

  • Cement rotary kiln pre-firing zones
  • Cement kiln front transition zones
  • Cement kiln rear transition zones
  • Cement kiln cooling zones
  • Cement kiln mouths
  • Kiln discharge areas
  • Pellet rotary kilns
  • Magnesite calcination kilns
  • Sintered mullite rotary kilns
  • Rotary kiln areas exposed to material abrasion
  • Furnace areas exposed to frequent temperature changes
  • Other high-temperature industrial kiln linings

The reference manufacturer recommends the standard product for cement kiln transition and cooling areas. Its andalusite-containing grade can be used in multiple cement kiln process zones other than the main burning zone, subject to the actual kiln conditions.
