Product Introduction

Refractory Cement CA70 is a high-purity calcium aluminate cement containing approximately 70% alumina. It is mainly used as a hydraulic binder in high-performance refractory castables, refractory mortars, gunning materials and refractory precast products.

The cement is produced from selected alumina and calcium-containing raw materials through a high-temperature sintering process. Its main mineral phases are calcium aluminates, which react with water and develop mechanical strength during curing.

Compared with conventional refractory cement, Refractory Cement CA70 contains fewer impurities and provides good high-temperature performance, mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. It is particularly suitable for low-cement castables, ultra-low-cement castables, self-flow castables and wet shotcrete materials.

Three grades are available: CA70, CA70W and CA70S. These grades have similar chemical compositions but different setting and working characteristics, allowing the appropriate cement to be selected according to ambient temperature, construction time and project requirements.

Applications

Refractory Cement CA70 is mainly used as a binder in high-performance monolithic refractory materials.

Typical applications include:

  • Low-cement refractory castables
  • Ultra-low-cement refractory castables
  • Self-flow refractory castables
  • Wet shotcrete materials
  • High alumina refractory castables
  • Corundum refractory castables
  • Mullite refractory castables
  • Refractory mortar
  • Refractory gunning materials
  • Furnace repair materials
  • Refractory precast blocks
  • Burner blocks
  • Furnace door components
  • Industrial furnace linings
  • Kiln linings
  • Petrochemical furnace linings
  • Steel and metallurgical refractory products

The final performance of a refractory formulation depends on the cement grade, cement dosage, aggregate composition, additives, mixing water, curing conditions and heating process.
